External workshops and seminars
Following the successful Executive Masterclass workshop held in March 2009 Telarc Quality Health offered a series of three day EQuIP related workshops through August – September 2009.
The workshops were comprised of three separate topics each conducted on one of three days of the programme:
84 people attended the Basic EQuIP for Beginners workshops
90 people attended the Beyond Evaluation (MA) Toward Excellence (EA) workshops
72 people attended the Clinical Audits workshops. Places were restricted in this workshop due to the concentration on activity and group work.
Topics were selected to represent various levels of engagement with the EQuIP4 programme for our members – those beginning the journey, those with established involvement in the programme and those wishing to expand the effectiveness of their clinical audit activity. All workshops were well subscribed with ‘waiting lists’ for a number of the workshops and all evaluations were positive. Attendance was representative of a wide range of provider organisations.
Four national workshops were held. Locations were selected in accordance with the geographic spread and density of member organisations. One workshop was held in

New Surveyor/ Auditor training April 2010
A three day training programme was held for eight senior health professions who have been selected to progress through theoretical and practical training to become credentialed surveyors/auditors with Telarc Quality Health. ‘Thank you’ is expressed to members who supported a trainee surveyor/auditor on their scheduled event.
NZQA8086 Health Audit Training
This qualification is now required of auditors by the Ministry of Health. To date eight of our contracted auditors and surveyors who did not previously have this qualification have undertaken the training with another fifteen scheduled for training in May and July of this year.
